Yesterday, I took part in a workshop to use the laser-cutter at college and I decided to get a new logo drawn up and made into a rubber stamp ready for stamping on the backs of my products for my pop-up shop from Monday.
So, this morning I went into college, drew up some logo ideas, scanned them in, formatted them on Illustrator and popped over to the workshop, memory stick in hand and grin on my face! How exciting – my own logo as a stamp that I could use over and over and over and over and over again! Wow.
With help from the tech-dem, Rich, I etched and cut two rubber squares (one inverted) and two wooden blocks to stick them to. The laser-cutter was mesmerising and it was etching my little design that I drew up half an hour before! Whaaaaaat? Technology, eh?
Here are some pictures of the process, expect more laser-cut bits from me soon!
